Deauthorization Callback

Understanding how ChatPanda handles account disconnection

What is Deauthorization?

Deauthorization occurs when you remove ChatPanda's access to your Instagram account through Facebook's settings. This is a security feature that ensures proper handling of your data when you disconnect the app.

How It Works
1

You Remove ChatPanda

Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites → Remove ChatPanda

2

Facebook Notifies ChatPanda

Facebook sends a secure deauthorization callback to our servers

3

ChatPanda Processes Deletion

We immediately receive the notification and begin the data deletion process

4

Data is Deleted

All your data is permanently removed from ChatPanda within 30 days

What Gets Deleted?

When you deauthorize ChatPanda, we automatically delete:

  • Instagram access tokens and authentication credentials
  • All conversation data and messages
  • Webhook event logs
  • Automation rules and settings
  • Any other data associated with your account
Security & Compliance

ChatPanda implements secure deauthorization callbacks as required by Meta's platform policies. This ensures:

  • Immediate acknowledgment of your disconnection request
  • Secure, verified communication from Facebook to our servers
  • Automatic data deletion without manual intervention
  • Full compliance with data protection regulations
Technical Details

The deauthorization callback endpoint is:

POST https://api.chatpanda.app/api/v1/data-deletion

This endpoint receives signed requests from Facebook and processes them securely using cryptographic verification (HMAC-SHA256) to ensure authenticity.
